I knew of a case of a 17 year old boy years ago suffering from multiple bouts of cancer. At some point, he decided that conventional and medical methods were not working for him. So at 17, he wanted to use vitamins to cure his cancer. Of course, doctors fought him and even sued his parents for legal rights to make decisions for him. And while I believe that everybody should have a choice in their own medical care, there is a line. At the same point in time, there was another lady that insisted that she was going to use vitamin C to cure her cancer. It was mild cancer, and it could have easily been treated with proper chemo and medications. But she refused to use them “leaving it up to god.” 6 months later, she died in the comfort of her own home.
So can vitamins cure cancer? You can find out more information about the many benefits of vitamins on www.vitamins.net, and I am without question a serious advocate of taking a daily multivitamin no matter who you are. I do believe in the benefits of vitamins, and I do believe that a healthy diet and exercise program including certain vitamins can boost your immune system, stop abnormal cells in their tracks, and help you to prevent certain problems with cancer. It doesn’t work every time. Some people will develop cancer anyway. But despite what they say on certain infomercials and other advertisements, vitamins do not cure cancer! They are more preventative in some individuals than anything else! And it is extremely irresponsible at best to say otherwise.
When it comes to vitamins and cancer, there have been multiple companies sued for making false claims. It’s one thing to say that your product can prevent abnormal cells and some cases of cancer. But without question, they crossed the line into claiming to “cure” cancer. They are in the testing phases of a new treatment that surrounds a certain B vitamin with poison ivy to fight cancer cells. But that is still questionable and still something you will not find in natural supplements.
